Kenya's Covid-19 Cases Reach 250,114

On October 3, 2021, the Ministry of Health announced 91 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the country's total caseload to 250,114.

According to Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe, the new cases were identified from 3,435 samples tested in the last 24 hours, out of a cumulative total of 2,572,609 tests.

The country's positivity rate stands at 2.7 per cent, with 88 of the new cases being Kenyans and three foreigners.

Of the new cases, 41 are females and 50 are males, with the youngest being a three-year-old baby and the oldest being 96 years old.

Meanwhile, 308 patients have recovered from the disease, with 241 recovering at home and 67 in various health facilities.

The total number of recoveries now stands at 242,535, while the death toll has risen to 5,140 with the reporting of nine new deaths.
