On October 2, 2021, Ulinzi Starlets made history by lifting the inaugural FKF Women's cup title at the Nakuru Showgrounds, defeating Vihiga Queens 2-1.
Lucy Mukhwana scored the opening goal for Ulinzi Starlets in the 7th minute, giving her team the upper hand in the first half.
However, Vihiga Queens managed to equalize in the 64th minute after a mishap from Ulinzi Starlets goalkeeper Maureen Shimuli.
But Ulinzi Starlets regained the lead just 10 minutes later, courtesy of Christine Nekesa's goal, securing a 2-1 victory.
The match was played on a Saturday at the Nakuru Showgrounds, with Ulinzi Starlets taking home a cash prize of Kes. 350,000.
Meanwhile, Vihiga Queens received Kes. 150,000 for their participation in the tournament.
Additionally, Bunyore Starlets were crowned champions in the FKF Women Division One playoff, winning 3-2 in post-match penalties, while Kangemi Allstarlets received a cash prize of Kes. 100,000.
