On October 2, 2021, a crucial distinction was highlighted between entrepreneurship and employment. The key to making money lies in focusing on a single line of business, allowing individuals to capitalize on their unique talents or training.

For instance, a trained surveyor is more likely to succeed in a business related to land, while a trained accountant is better suited for accounting or auditing services. Similarly, a talented footballer may excel in starting a sports company, and a skilled cook may find success in opening a hotel.

As individuals progress from being businesspeople to entrepreneurs, their work shifts from being directly involved in the business to starting new entities in various areas. At this stage, money begins to work for them, rather than the other way around.

Ultimately, the goal is to become an investor, where one has sufficient capital to invest in various ventures, generating even more wealth.

However, many individuals struggle to focus on a single path, instead trying to be 'jacks of all trades.' This approach often leads to failure, as seen in the case of those who attempt to start multiple businesses simultaneously.

Notable examples of successful entrepreneurs who have diversified their interests include Bill Gates, Peter Munga, James Mwangi, Tony Elumelu, and Patrice Motsepe. Despite their success, each of these individuals began by focusing on a single business and gradually diversified their interests over time.

As the saying goes, 'intensity beats ex-tensity.' By focusing on a single line of business and learning the ropes, individuals can set themselves up for success and eventually move on to more complex ventures.
