Kenyan Police Foil Motorbike Smuggling Operation

On September 30, 2021, Kenyan police set up a roadblock at Isiolo and Nanyuki to intercept a suspected motorbike smuggling operation.

According to Maurice Nyangao, the CEO of Hi-Line Motors Ltd, his company had used trackers to locate one of the stolen motorbikes, which was being transported to northern Kenya.

Police arrested four suspects at the roadblock in Nanyuki at 12am, recovering two lorries carrying 25 stolen motorbikes.

Hi-Line Motors Ltd had reported the theft of seven new motorbikes last month.
