The Kothbiro off-season tournament has taken a 4-day break to honor the late CEO Stephen Ogos, who will be laid to rest in Siaya county on Saturday.
According to reports, Ogos was handed the mantle of CEO for this year's edition of the tournament and had successfully led the group stages before his untimely death.
As a tribute to his memory, this year's edition of the Kothbiro tournament will be dedicated to Ogos.
Despite the challenges, teams in the tournament have proven to be tough, with experienced teams suffering shock defeats at the hands of new entries.
Defending champions Cinema FC suffered a shock defeat in the hands of new entries Allin Jua Kali, while Githurai United were held to a goalless draw by Ping FC.
The tournament will resume on Monday with the third leg, featuring fixtures such as Victors Faith vs Napoli and Young Achievers FC vs Bundes.
