Nescafé has been named the best coffee brand in Kenya, as chosen by local consumers, at the 2021 Kenya Beverage Excellence Awards (KBEA) held on September 24, 2021, in Nairobi.
The awards, which took place on September 24, 2021, in Nairobi, are designed to recognize and celebrate excellence and innovation across the Kenya beverage industry.
Nestlé Kenya Managing Director Ng'entu Njeru received the award, saying, "We are graciously honored for the recognition and bestowing of the best coffee award to Nescafé, a product that is much-loved by Kenyans."
Under the Nescafé Plan, launched in 2011, Nestlé has supported 50,000 farmers through trainings on good agricultural and processing practices, as well as financial literacy programs. The company has also trained over 8,000 women farmers as part of its women empowerment initiatives.
As part of its commitment to supporting the local coffee industry, Nescafé has expanded its portfolio to include a new product, Nescafé 3 in 1 Creamy White, which will be locally manufactured.
