On September 27, 2021, a Kenyan court found Tom Oywa Mboya guilty of attempting to murder hotel owner William Osewe.
According to the court, Mboya had shot Osewe four times in a dispute over a woman.
During the trial, Mboya had claimed that he had shot Osewe in self-defense, stating that Osewe was a 'beast'.
However, the court found that Mboya's actions were premeditated and that he had intentionally tried to kill Osewe.
As a result, Mboya was sentenced to life in prison for his crime.
