Lulu Hassan's Absence from Citizen TV Explained ¶
Citizen TV anchor Lulu Hassan has been off the air for a few days, missing her show Nipashe Wikendi. Her husband Rashid Abdalla explained her absence, citing unavoidable circumstances.
On September 25, Rashid Abdalla weighed in on Lulu's absence, saying,
“Kwa sababu zisizo hepukika Leo, mpenzi mtangazaji atakua mpenzi mtazamaji.” (Due to unavoidable circumstances, our adored anchor will join and watch us from home)
He added that Lulu was feeling unwell but nothing extraordinary or alarming.
According to sources close to Lulu, she has been recovering at home after a medical check-up. The sources expressed hope that she will be better soon and rejoin the show.
During her absence, Lulu missed co-hosting the relationship advice section of their show, where Bi Mswafari and psychotherapist Benjamin Zulu discussed how jobs and career choices affected marriages.
Bi Mswafari advised couples to marry for love, not for the work their partner does, and to prioritize friendship over money and reputation. Benjamin Zulu, however, argued that careers can affect marriage and many unions fail due to unaddressed issues.
