Published on September 26, 2021, actress and radio personality Jacqueline 'Wilbroda' Nyaminde opened up about her experiences with fake friends who only stuck by her for her money.

According to Wilbroda, these friends would praise her excessively just to keep her around, often at her expense. 'When you are at your peak you get different friends, a new crew checks in and it's a crew that just praises you. If you ever have a friend who praises you all the time, that is not a friend,' she said.

Wilbroda revealed that she was financially drained by these fake friends, often footing the bills for their social activities and even going into debt. However, she eventually realized the harm they were causing and decided to distance herself from them.

Wilbroda also spoke about dealing with entitled relatives, emphasizing the importance of setting boundaries and learning to say no. 'I have learnt to say no. I'm not afraid to say no. No is an answer and I don't have to explain myself,' she said.

By prioritizing her own well-being and setting boundaries, Wilbroda was able to gain actual friends and move away from the toxic relationships that were nearly destroying her life.
