On July 10, 2021, Kenya Sevens kicked off their Edmonton 7s campaign with a resounding 38-5 win over Chile at the Commonwealth Stadium in Canada.
Wilfred Ambaka scored two tries in the match, with Mark Kwemoi converting one of them to give Kenya a 7-0 lead.
Ambaka added another try in the first half, and Kwemoi's conversion gave Kenya a 19-0 lead at halftime.
Kenya extended their lead to 24-5 in the second half, with Alvin Marube and Timothy Mmasi scoring tries to seal the win.
Shujaa will face USA in their final match.
On July 11, 2021, Kenya Sevens defeated Spain 26-12 in their second Pool B match, with Mark Kwemoi scoring a brace to secure their spot in the quarterfinals.
