On September 23rd, Kenya's Ministry of Health reported 317 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the country's total caseload to 247,675.
Health CS Mutahi Kagwe stated that the new cases were derived from 6,129 samples tested in the last 24 hours, with the country's cumulative number of Covid-19 tests reaching 2,520,607 and a positivity rate of 5.2 per cent.
Of the new cases, 301 were Kenyans, with 16 being foreigners, and the age range spanned from a six-month-old child to a 99-year-old individual.
The country's death toll rose to 5,045 after 27 more patients succumbed to the disease.
Meanwhile, 177 patients recovered, with 47 discharged from home-based care and 130 from various hospitals countrywide, bringing the total number of recoveries to 238,884.
