On September 23, 2021, StarTimes Media unveiled annual and quarterly subscription payment options targeting lower package subscribers enrolled in the platform's Nyota bouquet.
The monthly Nyota bouquet retails at Ksh.299, offering access to over 20 international channels. Subscribers enrolled to the bouquet can now opt to pay Ksh. 1,800 annually, saving 50% of their annual subscription spend, or Ksh. 720 per quarter, saving 20% of their quarterly subscription spend.
According to StarTimes Regional Marketing Director Mr. Aldrine Nsubuga, the move is guided by the brand's progressive engagement and feedback from subscribers. The goal is to offer competitive bouquet packages at the most competitive rates in the market, given the prevailing economic conditions.
'The introduction of annual and quarterly subscription options for Nyota bouquet users is guided by the need to offer the same great package at an exceptionally competitive rate,' noted Mr. Nsubuga. 'This development is tailored from feedback received from our engagements with subscribers, as we look to sustain our ongoing bouquet improvement efforts through increased diverse genres of local and international content.'
The new annual and quarterly subscription options for Nyota subscribers add to the existing daily, weekly, and monthly options available to StarTimes subscribers across both terrestrial and satellite digital television platforms.
StarTimes offers other affordable bouquets to its digital terrestrial subscribers, including the Basic bouquet at Ksh 599 a month with access to over 40 international channels and Classic at a cost of Ksh 899 per month with access to over 60 international channels.
Satellite television customers have an array of bouquet options, including over 70 channels on Nova bouquet at Ksh. 499, Smart bouquet at Ksh 999 with access to over 100 channels, and Super bouquet at Ksh 1,499 per month with access to over 120 channels, including select high definition channels.
