CS Farida Karoney Celebrates Birthday with Ministry Staff ¶
On Tuesday, September 22, 2021, Lands Cabinet Secretary Farida Karoney celebrated her birthday with a surprise party at the Ministry of Lands offices in Nairobi.
According to her social media pages, the CS expressed her gratitude to her friends and colleagues at the Ministry for their kindness and the gifts presented to her.
"I appreciate you for all those thoughtful gifts you brought my way to celebrate the bigger gift of life and most importantly thank God for the opportunity to serve together," she said.
She also thanked her Heads of Department for their dedication to the Ministry's strategic objectives, saying, "Influencing your teams through example isn’t the main highway to success, it is the only one."
CS Karoney emphasized the importance of her lands reform agenda, stating that it would transform land administration in Kenya in a profound way.
She added that the Ministry is creating a cadastre of available public lands, introducing transparency that will attract and protect investors and eliminate middlemen and brokers who hike costs through brokerage services and cartels.
CS Karoney's birthday celebration comes after President Uhuru Kenyatta launched the National Land Information Management System (NLIMS) dubbed Ardhi Sasa on April 27, 2021, as part of the Ministry's digital transformation plan under her leadership.
