Emmy Kosgei, a Kalenjin gospel singer, has found a new home in Nigeria after leaving Kenya nine years ago. The singer, who was at the height of her career in Kenya, made the move for love and has since become a pastor's wife.

She was recently part of the '5 Days of Unending Thanksgiving' concert in Nigeria, where she performed alongside big names such as Joel Osteen, Darlene Zschech, and Pastor Nathaniel Bassey. The concert was organized by Nigerian gospel heavyweight Sinach.

Emmy Kosgei's marriage to Nigerian Pastor Apostle Anselm Madubuko has survived the test of time, with the couple celebrating their eighth anniversary on August 31. The singer says she is grateful to God that marriage has treated her kindly.

She credits her husband for supporting her career and giving her the freedom to chase her dreams. 'He's a blessed man to have me,' she jokes. 'Kenyan women are very good. People don’t know that, it’s just that sometimes you underestimate us!'

Emmy Kosgei's journey to becoming a pastor's wife was not an easy one. She grew up in a pastors' home and initially didn't want to follow in their footsteps. However, she has come to appreciate her role and has grown from being a shy singer to now preaching and mentoring young people.

Her church in Nigeria has over 5,000 congregants, and they have accepted her as their apostle's wife. Emmy Kosgei has also managed to make a name for herself in the West African music industry, breaking through as a foreign artist.
