Vitalis Peter Lukiri, the long-serving National Chairman of Afya Sacco, has passed away after a short illness. Family sources confirmed that he died at Nairobi Hospital on Wednesday night.
Lukiri will be remembered for his leadership in steering Afya Sacco to become one of the leading Tier 1 co-operative societies in the country. Prior to his death, he was a public health officer serving at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport until his retirement early this year.
Meetings to arrange his funeral are currently underway at his Ongata Rongai residence.
