On September 17, 2021, Instagram blogger Edgar Obare sparked controversy with a video showing Sauti Sol's Polycarp Otieno, alias Fancy Fingers, in the company of an unidentified woman at a private beach in Watamu.
According to Obare's source, the pair left the beach after realizing it wasn't as private as they thought, coinciding with claims that Fancy Fingers' wife, Lady Mandy, was out of town.
Fancy Fingers vehemently denied the cheating allegations, stating that he was simply hanging out with friends and that the woman was taking pictures of him.
He also claimed to have seen Obare's source taking his pictures with the unidentified woman, saying, “So now I can't hang out with my female friends…I do not have a girlfriend, I have a wife. It's unfortunate that people are out to taint other people's lives. I saw this lady taking a pic of me and I let her entertain herself…please carefully analyze what is sent to you,”
