On September 16, 2021, a heart-wrenching incident unfolded at Salama police station in Makueni County, where a 50-year-old woman tragically lost her life.

Consolata Mutua, a mother of a 19-year-old daughter, had brought her child to the station, accusing her of bad behavior during school holidays.

As she recounted her daughter's actions to police officers, Mutua became emotionally overwhelmed and collapsed.

Despite efforts by police officers and a well-wisher to administer first aid and resuscitate her, Mutua was rushed to Kilungu Sub-county hospital, where she unfortunately passed away while undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident in Nairobi's Riruta area, a man named George Omondi lost his life after intervening to help a robbery victim.

Omondi, 48, and his wife Jackline were awoken by the screams of a distressed robbery victim outside their house at 5am.

Without hesitation, Omondi jumped out of bed to aid the victim, but unfortunately, he got in the way of the attackers, who knifed him twice as they escaped.

His wife, Jackline, later discovered his lifeless body outside their house, surrounded by a crowd of people.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has since vowed to apprehend the suspects responsible for Omondi's gruesome murder.
