On September 16, 2021, a scandal rocked the NTV Uganda team when private chats between journalist Andrew Kabuura and French Embassy worker Mercy Twinomujuni were leaked on social media.
The chats, which were exchanged on WhatsApp, revealed a steamy conversation between the two, with Mercy sending Andrew photos of her thighs.
Andrew, who works as a sports journalist for NTV Uganda, was exposed for cheating on his wife Flavia Tumusiime, with whom he had legalized their relationship in 2019 at All Saints Church in Nakasero, Kampala.
The couple's wedding ceremony was presided over by outspoken retired assistant Anglican Bishop of Kampala, Dr Zac Niringiye.
Andrew and Flavia have not publicly addressed the cheating rumors, choosing to ignore everything being said on social media.
It is alleged that Mercy is married to a youth pastor named Philip Tumwebaze, who is based in France.
