September 15, 2021, marked a significant day for Xiaomi as the brand unveiled its latest smartphone, the 11 Lite 5G NE. This upgraded model is an improvement over the 'Mi' 11 Lite 5G, which was introduced earlier in 2021.

The 11 Lite 5G NE boasts a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen, supporting a 90Hz/240Hz sampling rate. Weighing in at 158 grams and measuring 6.81mm in thickness, this device is not only sleek but also durable. Additionally, it has earned certification from Dolby Vision, further enhancing its visual capabilities.

Under the hood, the 11 Lite 5G NE is powered by a 778G Snapdragon chipset, which is a notable upgrade from the 780G chipset found in the January-released model. The 778G SoC is built on a 6nm process and features eight cores clocked at 2.4GHz.

When it comes to camera capabilities, the 11 Lite 5G NE is equipped with a triple-camera setup, consisting of a 64-megapixel wide lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5-megapixel sensor. The front camera boasts a 20MP sensor, ensuring high-quality selfies.

Powering this device is a 4250mAh battery, which can be quickly charged using a 33W charger.

Availability and Pricing

The 11 Lite 5G NE will be available in black, white, pink, and green color options, distributed through Xiaomi's channels from the end of the month. The device will be priced at €369 (approximately Ksh 48,000) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, and €399 (approximately Ksh 52,000) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant.
