Peris Wanjiku, a well-known Akorino model, has announced her engagement to a mystery man after a three-year romance.
According to an exclusive interview with Nairobi News, Pesh Kenya, as she is popularly known, has confirmed that she is off the market.
She revealed that her fiancé proposed earlier this year, and the wedding is set to take place in October 2021.
‘We started out as friends then after a few years, he told me that he had developed romantic feelings for me and asked me to be his girlfriend. I am so happy because he has been very supportive to me, especially my modelling career,’ Pesh said.
As an Akorino, Pesh has been known for her boldness and uniqueness in the modelling industry, refusing to remove her traditional head wrap while modelling.
She rose to fame in 2019 after sharing pictures of herself on social media while on holiday at the coast with a man, sparking speculation about her relationship status.
However, she did not reveal the identity of the man at the time.
It is worth noting that Pesh has been open about her dating life and marriage in the past, revealing some of the strict doctrines imposed by her religion on relationships.
She had stated that she was single and looking to settle down in October 2020, but it seems she has now found her perfect match.
