July 3, 2019, marked a significant milestone in the life of Leon Isaac Kamau, the son of actress Catherine Kamau Karanja, popularly known as Kate Actress. The young boy officially turned 13 years old, and his mother couldn't be prouder of the progress they've made together.
As Kate Actress reflected on their journey, she expressed gratitude for the opportunity to be her son's mother, citing it as one of her greatest achievements in her 32 years of existence. She shared a heartfelt message on social media, expressing her pride and love for Leon.
"Of all the things I have achieved in my 32 years of existence, being your mum tops the list. We have come from far, from our 'kanyumba' (bedsitters) to where we are now? we can only thank God??," Kate wrote in part.
However, Kate Actress also acknowledged the challenges that come with her son's growth. She shared pictures of Leon, joking about how he's become more independent and no longer wants hugs and kisses from his mother. She playfully asked where time had gone and whether she could still discipline him with a hot sufuria when he misbehaved.
As Kate Actress celebrated her son's birthday, she also hinted at the arrival of a new addition to their family. She cheekily told Leon to go to school, as she and her husband, Phil Karanja, were busy making him a sister. The post concluded with a message to Leon, wishing him a happy birthday and tagging him as @kenyan_loganpaul.
Phil Karanja, Leon's father, also celebrated his son's birthday, noting that he's about to grow a beard before he does. The family's joy and love for each other were palpable in their social media posts.
