Published on September 14, 2021, Guardian Angel, a 25-year-old gospel artist, has shed light on the rot plaguing Kenya's gospel music industry. Despite being one of the few thriving artists, he has faced numerous challenges.

Guardian Angel's journey to success was not easy. He had to become a street kid at some point in his life, but that did not deter him from pursuing his passion. He has released over 40 songs, with some becoming instant hits.

Guardian Angel has been vocal about the lack of support from established artists in the industry. He claims that the industry is 'dead' and not performing well. In an interview with Plug TV, he shared his experiences and frustrations.

“We fought hard to get into the industry. No one discouraged us. That shouldn't surprise you. What was done, like I'm saying, I was shown the studio. I was shown the way by DK. I have to give credit where it's due… I was still in high school. But he kept on saying I wouldn’t want you to go through what I went through to make it in this industry.”

Guardian Angel has also criticized other artists for not supporting upcoming artists, including himself, who struggled to make a name for himself in the industry. He is currently one of the big names in the gospel industry, alongside his wife, Esther Musila.
