Rwandair Expands Footprint in DRC with New Routes

Published on September 14, 2021, RwandAir has announced plans to expand its footprint in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) with new routes.

The airline will launch flights from Kigali to Lubumbashi on September 29, followed by Kigali-Goma flights. RwandAir currently operates four weekly flights to Kinshasa.

As part of its recovery, the airline will also resume flights to Uganda on September 17 and to Mumbai on September 20, after a two-year suspension. The airline recently resumed flights to London, Johannesburg, Lusaka, Harare, and Cape Town.

Kenyan low-cost carrier Jambojet has also commenced flights between Nairobi and the DRC city of Goma on September 10, initially operating two weekly flights before increasing to four.

RwandAir currently offers services to 25 destinations across 21 countries in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
