Kenyan socialite Vera Sidika has been basking in the joy of her pregnancy, flaunting her huge baby bump on Instagram to the delight of her fans. The 8-month pregnant socialite has been the subject of much anticipation and criticism over the years.
On June 16, Vera took to her Instagram to share the special announcement of her pregnancy, which was met with a mix of reactions. While some congratulated her, others called the pregnancy 'fake'.
Undeterred by the criticism, Vera hit back at her haters, claiming to have received all sorts of insults and hate from people who barely know her and her story. She also faced criticism for bleaching and was told she'd only give birth to a dark-skinned baby.
However, Vera has chosen to give birth in Kenya, despite having a valid Visa to travel to the US. In a recent post on her Instagram stories, Vera explained that she couldn't handle the idea of being away from her family and friends during her pregnancy for 4-6 months.
"Btw I almost travelled to give birth in USA since my 5 year USA Visa still valid. But this COVID pandemic isn’t fun. Then again couldn’t handle the idea of being away from family & friends during my pregnancy for 4-6 months…" Vera wrote.
As Vera prepares to welcome her baby in the next month, she has the support of her fans and well-wishers. All the best to her!
