Published on September 13, 2021, Esther Njoroge, the Chief Executive of Bountiful Safaris, a leading tours and travels company, has denied any relationship with Bonfire Adventures.
Allegations have been circulating that Bountiful Safaris is a sister company of Bonfire Adventures, co-founded by Simon Kabu and his wife Sarah Kabu. Njoroge worked for Bonfire Adventures for three years before leaving due to frustration.
Months later, she started Bountiful Safaris, and some people alleged that Simon Kabu may have secretly helped her to open the company. However, Njoroge has denied these claims, stating that she laid the foundation of her company without any help from Kabu.
Speaking during an interview on the Metha Ya Kagoni YouTube channel, Njoroge revealed that much of the support came from her elder brother. She said, 'I'm the only director of Bountiful Safaris and maybe if there is another director it must be my brother. When I opened our offices, he paid my rent for three months.'
When asked why she does not respond to trolls over the issue, Njoroge stated, 'I know the truth and I have no time for them (critics). My pastor and my mother also know the truth, so why should I explain myself?'
Before founding Bountiful Safaris, Njoroge worked in two toxic work environments but remains grateful that the challenges shaped her. She divulged that at one point she became depressed and attempted to take her life.
After launching her company, Njoroge said she was dismissed several times by people who looked down upon her because she is a woman. However, she beat the challenges and now heads one of the most successful tours and travel companies that has employed at least 20 people.
