On September 11, 2021, a tragic incident unfolded in Siaya County, Kenya, where a man's violent outburst led to the death of his wife.

Kevin Onyango, 34, had been away from home all day when he returned to find his wife, Emmaculate Mayavi, 42, missing. Desperate to locate her, he searched frantically before tracing her to a Chang'aa den in Jera village, Ugenya.

According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Onyango found his wife heavily intoxicated at the den. Witnesses reported that he then descended on her with kicks and blows, further immobilizing her.

Onyango allegedly put his wife on a wheelbarrow and pushed her home, where she developed complications and passed away during the night.

Kevin Onyango was later arrested and booked at Sihay police station. He is expected to appear in court on Monday to face murder charges.
