Musalia Mudavadi Clarifies Exit from Church Event

ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi has clarified his exit from a church event on September 12, 2021, where he was consecrating Rev. Rose Okeno as a bishop.

According to Mudavadi, he and Ford Kenya party leader Wetangula exited the event together, but not because they were denied a chance to speak. Instead, they waited for the consecration ceremony to be over.

Speaking at a fundraiser, Mudavadi explained that after Rev. Rose Okeno gave her speech, he sent Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala to inform Archbishop Ole Sapit that they had an event to attend in Muranga, which is a long journey from Western.

It was only after they were permitted to leave by Archbishop Sapit that they left the event.

Mudavadi has condemned reports that he stormed out of the event because he did not get a chance to speak, stating that he respects the church and its leaders.

Among other leaders in attendance was NARC party leader Martha Karua, who appreciated MP Sabina Chege for her good work and endorsed her for Muranga's gubernatorial seat.
