On September 9, 2021, Kenyan athletes made a strong impression at the Zurich Diamond League finals, bringing home millions in prize money.

Five Kenyan athletes won Sh3.2 million each in their respective races, showcasing their exceptional skills and tactics on the track.

Among the standout performances was Timothy Cheruiyot's win in the men's 1500m, where he held off Norwegian athlete Jakob Ingebrigtsen in a thrilling sprint to the finish.

Two-time Olympic champion Faith Chepngetich also proved her dominance in the women's 1500m, beating Dutch athlete Sifan Hassan in a time of 3:58.33.

Emmanuel Korir, the Olympic champion, clinched the Diamond League title in the 800m, edging out compatriot Ferguson Rotich with a time of 1:44.56.

Benjamin Kigen unleashed a deadly kick to win the men's 3000m steeplechase, clocking 8:17.45.
