On September 10, 2021, news broke that Ex-Tahidi High actor Joseph Peter Kinuthia, alias Omosh Kizangila, had joined the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) and was set to contest for the Kayole Central Ward seat in Nairobi county.

According to reports, Omosh's decision to join politics came after a period of struggling financially, which led to him being in the public eye for begging due to being broke.

It is also reported that Omosh's move to join politics was influenced by his excessive drinking of alcohol.

As a result, Omosh is now eyeing a leadership position in the county assembly and is set to vie for the Kayole Central Ward MCA seat in the 2022 polls.

Interestingly, Omosh's decision to join politics has been met with a mix of reactions, with some of his former colleagues, including Denis Mugo alias OJ, also announcing their involvement in politics.

Denis Mugo, who was a cast member of Tahidi High, has announced his intention to contest for the Ruguru-Ngandori ward in Embu county.
