Kenya on September 10, 2021, confirmed 661 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the country's caseload to 242,945.
According to Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe, the cases were detected from 8,141 samples tested, raising the total to 2,444,357. The country's positivity rate is at 8.1 per cent.
Of the new cases, 640 are Kenyans, while 21 are foreigners. The youngest case is an 11-day-old infant, and the oldest is 102 years old.
533 patients have recovered from the disease, with 416 recovering from the home-based isolation and care programme and 117 from various health facilities countrywide. The total number of recoveries now stands at 230,940.
There are 1,723 patients admitted to various health facilities countrywide, while 4,725 are under the home-based isolation and care programme.
