President Uhuru Donates 10 Buses to Schools Across Kenya

On September 10, 2021, President Uhuru Kenyatta donated 10 buses to various schools and learning institutions across Kenya.

The recipients included Tumutumu Secondary School for the deaf in Nyeri County, Marifano High School in Tana River County, Achego Girls in Kisumu County, and Olorukuti Secondary School in Narok County.

Additionally, the President donated buses to groups and communities, including The Catholic Women Association of Maralal Diocese and Marafiki Football Club in Nyeri County.

Other beneficiaries of the initiative included Rukanga Secondary School in Kirinyaga County, Mnagei Secondary School in West Pokot County, AIC Moi Girls Maralal, and Kisima Girls from Samburu County.

The President donated the buses at a ceremony held at State House, which was attended by a number of political leaders, including the leader of Majority, Samuel Poghisio, and Samburu County MP Maison Leshomo.

MPs from Samburu West, Garsen, Nyeri Town, Kieni, Muhoroni, Mwea, and Othaya were also present.

Teachers and students who received the buses were also in attendance.

As part of the initiative, the President also gave 2000 washable masks to each of these institutions to help curb COVID-19.
