Kenya's real estate sector has taken a significant leap forward with Optiven Real Estate embracing technology to improve customer service. The company has introduced digital water connections across the country, marking a significant shift in the way customers interact with the company.
According to the Water Office, the new connection fees and charges were implemented on September 2, 2021. Existing customers will not be affected by the changes, with the new adjusted payments taking effect from January 1, 2022.
The new charges include a connection fee of 15,000 shillings and a cost of 150 shillings per unit of water. The water application form is available through the Customer Service office.
Optiven Group CEO, George Wachiuri, emphasized the company's commitment to using technology to provide value to customers. 'We are keen to use technology to ensure that the value we provide for our customers is tangible and serves their needs as appropriate,' he said.
Director for Projects at Optiven Group, Charles Muraguri, added that the company is working to ensure that investors not only buy land but also receive their title deeds and enjoy the pleasure of developing it upon completion of purchase.
Optiven Real Estate has been recognized for its signature value additions, including infrastructure such as access roads, water, solar street lights, and security on ground.
