On a fateful Tuesday evening in Naivasha, a devastating motorcycle accident claimed the lives of two teenagers and left a third in critical condition at Naivasha Sub-county Hospital.
According to Naivasha East MCA Stanley Karanja, the teenagers were riding their motorcycle on the highway when a car struck them, resulting in one death on the spot and serious injuries to the others.
“One died at the hospital. This problem will be addressed once the government erects speed bumps on this section of the road,” Karanja said, highlighting the need for road safety measures.
Notably, this incident is not an isolated case, as Karanja revealed that over ten people had lost their lives on the same section of the road in the past two months.
Separately, a perimeter wall collapsed in a garage near Nakuru bus terminus, injuring one person and causing panic among the public.
Naivasha Sub-county commissioner Mutua Kisilu attributed the wall collapse to poor workmanship, stating, “We had an incident where one man was injured, and a Nissan matatu damaged after a wall collapsed.”
