On June 6, 2021, world marathon champion Eliud Kipchoge delivered a stellar performance at the Eldoret City Marathon in Uasin Gishu County, Kenya.

Just a month later, on September 10, 2021, Kipchoge announced the official launch of the Eliud Kipchoge Foundation through his social media pages.
The foundation aims to provide needy children across the world with access to knowledge and education. Kipchoge, a two-time Olympic champion and the first man to run a marathon under two hours, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to launch the foundation.
"I am very grateful to launch my Eliud Kipchoge Foundation. My mission is to give all children in the world access to education," Kipchoge said.
The foundation will also focus on environmental conservation, with Kipchoge emphasizing the importance of growing up in a green and breathing world where forests keep people safe.
