On September 14-17, 2021, the Co-operative Alliance of Kenya (CAK) will host a training session at Maanzoni Lodge in Machakos to educate SACCOs on taxation and cybercrime risks.
The training, which is open to top management of SACCOs, will cover various topics including fraud prevention, accounting, and taxation issues in light of the 2021 Finance Bill.
According to Daniel Marube, CAK Executive Director, the training will equip SACCOs to deal with cyber security risks and attacks.
CAK has partnered with PwC to conduct the training sessions, which will cover topics such as tax planning, legal framework on taxation of SACCOs, and accounting for taxes in credit societies' books.
