September 2, 2021, marked the day Harambee Stars midfielder Richard Odada and his teammates faced Uganda Cranes in a FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Qualifier Group E match at Nyayo National Stadium.
Fast forward to the present, the team has arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, ahead of their match against Rwanda's Amavubi on Sunday.
Speaking after a recovery session on Friday at the Mumena Stadium in Kigali, Odada expressed his team's determination to collect maximum points.
'We got a goalless draw at home, and it was not the result we had hoped to attain as a team, but we are working on our weak points and hope to nick all the three points against Rwanda,' Odada said.
His teammate, Kenneth Muguna, echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the team's focus on working together to achieve a positive result.
'This is a must-win match for us and of course, there is pressure to perform well, but we are working together as a team to help us attain a positive result against Rwanda,' Muguna said.
The match against Rwanda's Amavubi is set to take place on Sunday at the Kigali Stadium from 4 pm East African Time.
