On September 4, 2021, celebrated show host Lynn Ngugi left digital media house Tuko, sparking speculation about her next move. With her prominence as a show host, it was rumored that she may have been offered a more lucrative deal at a rival media station.

However, in a recent YouTube vlog, Ms. Ngugi revealed that she had reached a point in her life where she needed to move on to new challenges. She explained that leaving Tuko was a decision she made to grow and pursue new opportunities.

Contrary to rumors, Ms. Ngugi clarified that she will not be joining another media house. Instead, she has launched her own YouTube channel, where she will host the same life talk shows she was hosting at Tuko.

Since leaving Tuko, Ms. Ngugi's YouTube channel has seen a significant increase in subscribers, from 40,000 to over 100,000 within days. She has set an ambitious target of 500,000 subscribers and aims to monetize her channel, potentially earning over Sh. 1 million in net profits.
