On September 2, 2021, Karanja Ndegwa took over as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Jambojet, marking a significant milestone in the airline's history.
Mr. Ndegwa has been serving in an interim capacity since April 2020, following the departure of Allan Kilavuka to Kenya Airways as CEO.
Before his appointment as CEO, Ndegwa held various positions within the company, including Head of Finance and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) since 2016.
He joined Jambojet in 2014 as the CFO, having previously worked at Kenya Airways in different capacities, including Revenue Accounting Manager.
Mr. Ndegwa is a graduate of Economics and Statistics from the University of Nairobi and a Certified Public Accountant.
Under his leadership, Jambojet operates flights to six local destinations in Kenya, as well as Entebbe in Uganda and Kigali, Rwanda, from its hub in Nairobi.
