Equity Group has welcomed Jonas Mushosho as its new non-executive director, following the retirement of Christopher Newson. This appointment is effective immediately.
Mushosho, a seasoned executive, currently serves as a Director at Brooks & Oracle, a council member at Zimbabwe Open University, and a non-executive director at Delta Corporation.
He has a rich background in leadership and finance, having served as the CEO at Old Mutual Zimbabwe Limited between 2012 and 2019. During his tenure, he was also the Managing Director of Old Mutual Rest of Africa, overseeing strategy implementation, stakeholder management, investment performance management, governance, and compliance across 12 countries in the continent.
Mushosho holds a Bachelor of Accounting Science from the University of South Africa, a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, and an MBA from the University of Zimbabwe. He has also obtained postgraduate qualifications from the University of Cape Town, Graduate School of Business, London Business School, and Harvard Business School. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
