President Samia Suluhu Hassan has embarked on a bold initiative to market Tanzania globally, leveraging the power of documentary filmmaking to showcase the country's rich tourism attractions.
According to the President, the documentary will be launched in the US market and showcased worldwide, with the aim of promoting Tanzania's tourism industry.
Speaking in Tegeta, Dar es Salaam, President Samia emphasized the importance of promoting Tanzania internationally, stating, "What I am doing is to promote our country Tanzania internationally. We are going to film attraction sites."
The documentary, titled Royal Tour, is being filmed by an international crew and will feature various tourism, investment, arts, and cultural attractions in Tanzania.
President Samia was accompanied by the international film crew on her official visit to Zanzibar, where the recording of the documentary began on August 28, 2021.
