As of August 31, 2021, Bondo Sub County has seen a significant increase in security measures to combat rising crime. The Sub County Deputy County Commissioner (DCC), Mr. Richard Karani, has revealed a clear plan to curb burglary and other insecurity incidents.

Residents have been warned to expect frequent crackdowns and arrests of individuals found walking past 10 pm, with essential workers being the only exception. Karani emphasized that the patrols will not spare anyone who is not an essential worker.

The deputy county commissioner also warned the public against defying COVID-19 rules, stating that they will not be lenient on anyone found flouting such regulations. He urged the public to adhere to social distancing, wear masks, and wash their hands to help contain the spread of the virus.

Notably, Bondo Sub County has not registered any coronavirus positivity cases for the past three days, and the authorities aim to maintain this trend.
