Laban-Cliff Onserio, a seasoned communications expert, has been appointed as the Chief of Staff and anchor at the Standard Media Group, effective September 1, 2021.
According to an internal memo, Onserio will spearhead the group's efforts in executive communications, government relations, and stakeholder partnerships.
He will also serve in the editorial department as a news anchor in suitable business and public policy programs.
Onserio brings over 15 years of experience in both the private and public sectors, having held senior positions at the Nation Media Group, General Electric Africa, and CNBC Africa.
He holds an MBA in Global Business Management from the United States International University (USIU-Africa), a Journalism Fellowship from the Reuters Institute of Journalism at Oxford University, and a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Strathmore University.
