Swedish Firm Partners with Kenyan Company to Boost Electricity Grid Solutions

On August 31, 2021, GE Grid Solutions, a Swedish renewable energy firm, announced a partnership with Amotech Africa, a local Kenyan company, to expand the distribution of electricity grid solutions in Kenya.

As part of the agreement, Amotech Africa will serve as GE Grid Solutions' local distributor and channel partner for Kenya, aiming to tap into the vast potential in the energy sector.

According to Amotech Africa, the partnership will enable the company to deliver energy solution services more effectively across East Africa, leveraging GE Grid Solutions' global expertise.

"We have come a long way as a country in terms of electricity generation and value chain management, however, there is huge potential that is yet to be unlocked in this sector," said Amotech Africa's Head of Operations, Njeri Gachanja.

GE Grid Solutions brings decades of experience in managing electricity from generation to consumption, maximizing grid reliability, efficiency, and security.

Amotech Africa, headquartered in Nairobi, has a presence across East, South, Central, and West Africa, including in Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Nigeria.
