Comedian Jalang'o has been making headlines in recent weeks due to a couple of controversies. One of them involves an alleged 'wash wash' fraud, while the other is a dispute with Vincent Mboya over a Ksh18,000 rent donation.
According to reports, Jalang'o had offered to pay three months' rent for the 22-year-old Mboya, who had gone online to plead for help. However, Mboya claimed that he was belittled during the assistance and offered to return the money, giving Jalang'o a timeframe for collecting it.
Speaking to a YouTube news outlet, Mboya revealed that he couldn't send the money via Mpesa because he was uncertain whether Jalang'o had a pending Fuliza loan that could see the money deducted from his mobile money account.
“Unajua unaeza tumia mtu pesa upate imekatwa na Fuliza. Kwanza yeye mwenyewe hakunitumia kwa Mpesa straight, he sent to the bank..” Mboya said, adding that he will consider the M-pesa option after having talks with his team.
However, most people say that Mboya is just clout chasing, as he could have sent the money to Jalang'o via Mpesa. The dispute has sparked a heated debate, with many questioning Mboya's motives.
