On August 31, 2021, UAP Old Mutual Group announced the appointment of Ewart Salins as the Group Managing Director – Asset Management.
With a wealth of experience in the securities industry, Ewart has previously worked in leading financial and securities trading firms. He has also served as an Executive Director at Kestrel Capital, a leading local stock brokerage, and as General Manager at Dry Associates, an investment advisory firm.
As a Director at the Kenya Association of Stockbrokers and Investment Banks (KASIB) and a former Director of Pacis Insurance Company, the insurance arm of the Catholic Church, Ewart has demonstrated his commitment to the development of the capital markets in Kenya and the region.
UAP Old Mutual CEO Arthur Oginga praised Ewart's appointment, stating, "He is a securities industry veteran who has shown exemplary commitment to deepening of the capital markets in Kenya and the region."
As the new head of Asset Management, Ewart will oversee the unit's operations, which include managing Unit Trusts Funds and acting as the Fund Manager for various corporate pension schemes.
