On August 30th, 2021, the Ministry of Health confirmed 346 new Covid-19 cases from 3,553 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
This brings the country's caseload to 235,298, with a cumulative number of samples tested standing at 2,367,077.
Health CS Mutahi Kagwe announced the new cases during the daily Covid-19 briefing at Afya House headquarters in Nairobi, stating that the country's positivity rate is at 9.7 percent.
Of the new cases, 333 are Kenyans, while 13 are foreigners. The age range of the new cases spans from a three-month-old child to a 95-year-old individual.
Unfortunately, 10 more patients have succumbed to the deadly virus, bringing the death toll to 4,720.
Some 1,404 patients have recovered from coronavirus, with 1,327 recovering from the Home-Based Isolation and Care program and 77 from various health facilities.
There are 1,951 patients currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 5,924 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.
