On August 29, 2021, Kenya's Ministry of Health reported 363 new Covid-19 cases, increasing the country's total caseload to 234,952.
According to a press statement issued by Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe in Nairobi, the new cases were identified from 4,594 samples tested in the last 24 hours, bringing the cumulative number of Covid-19 tests to 2,363,524.
The cases comprised 359 Kenyans and four foreigners, with 170 females and 193 males affected. The youngest patient was a two-year-old baby, while the oldest was 97 years old.
Kenya also reported 16 new deaths, bringing the total death toll to 4,710. In addition, 1,247 patients recovered from the disease, with 1,114 recovering at home and 55 in various health facilities, increasing the total number of recoveries to 220,953.
