On Friday, August 27th, 2021, Kenya announced 932 new Covid-19 cases from 9,424 samples tested in the last 24 hours.

The country's cumulative number of tests conducted since March 2020 has now reached 2,352,240, with a positivity rate of 9.9 per cent.

Of the new cases, 909 were Kenyans, while 23 were foreigners, with 459 females and 473 males. The youngest case was an 11-month-old infant, while the oldest was 100 years old.

Unfortunately, 31 more patients succumbed to the virus, raising the total number of deaths to 4,666.

Meanwhile, 1,457 patients have recovered from the disease, with 1,309 from various health facilities countrywide and 148 from home-based isolation and care.

The cases are spread across various counties, with Nairobi reporting the highest number of cases at 282.
