On August 27, 2021, Andrew Kibe expressed his disapproval of social media influencers turning to politics, specifically targeting radio presenter Jalang'o and YouTuber Xtian Dela, who are both vying for parliamentary seats in the 2022 General Election.

Jalang'o is set to contest for the Langata parliamentary seat, while Xtian Dela is eyeing the Westlands MP seat. Both individuals have expressed their optimism in clinching the seats, promising changes in their respective constituencies.

However, Andrew Kibe believes that it's peculiar and not authentic for social media influencers to suddenly turn to politics. He argues that Xtian Dela and Jalang'o's sentiments on politics will end up in a dead-end.

"Everybody will want to become an MP… All the social media influencers… Why weren’t you a leader then? Suddenly now you can lead? You think this is a joke. Na sio Xtian pekee yake. Everybody wants to be there." - Andrew Kibe He also referenced Jalang'o's statement, "once I become an MP nawacha kazi ya media".

It remains to be seen whether Andrew Kibe's sentiments will have any impact on Xtian Dela and Jalang'o's political ambitions.
