Collins Toroitich Kibet Moi, the grandson of former President Daniel Arap Moi, has been ordered to pay child support for two children he fathered with Gladys Jeruto Tagi.
A DNA test, which Collins had initially resisted, revealed a 99.9 percent probability that he is the biological father of the children, aged 11 and nine.
According to the DNA test results, the children exhibit a compatible obligatory paternal allelic profile with that of Collins Toroitich Moi.
Collins had dodged court appearances and the extraction of samples for the DNA analysis, forcing Gladys Jeruto to sue him for contempt of court.
Baringo Senior Resident Magistrate, Benjamin Limo, released Collins Kibet on a Sh100,000 bond on charges of skipping court appearances.
Gladys Jeruto Tagi is seeking Sh1 million per month for the basic needs of their children.
